Good AM

I have a solitary rock that I have a few colonies of GSP growing on My initial goal was to have the GSP create a lawn covering the rock island I recently acquired a clove polyp frag that would provide a great color contrast to the GSP. What would happen if I added the clove polyp to the island? Can these two, species coexist or will one outcompete the other?

The GSP will eventually end up smothering the clove polyps IMO. That mat that they lay down is hard to stop sometimes.

Yes on the mat. That is why I put it on an island. I could not resist the look of the lawn swaying in the current

My understanding is that cloves will take over a tank no matter what, they are an unstoppable force lol GSP can be controlled if it's isolated
