So I tried searching, but gsp turns up a ton of results! I'm well aware of the invasive nature of gsp, but it is an awesome looking coral. Ihave heard of it being glued to the backglass, but it always seems to peel off sooner or later, but what about the overflow? If it will stick, will gluing the mat directly to the plastic be best, or should a rock or frag disk be used?

You can glue it to pretty much any surface.
I've had gsp growing across the back of a couple different tanks, including the overflow box.
