Hello all,

For the last week I’ve noticed my GSP isn’t opening as much or at all, and I realized there was a whiteish growth on/around it in some areas. All of my other corals open (hammers, acan, frogspawn) just wondering what this is

Thanks!

Yup sponge, remove. Looks like a smaller frag? Just dip and clean in a separate container ideally. Soft tooth brush works for me.

Thank you! Will do this as soon as I get home tomorrow night.

If it is a sponge it will bot live outside the water for very long, where your coral can live longer out if water. Pull the gsp out and get the sponge off. Then you are not faced with it landing somewhere else
