Ok so i have a few questions here, 1. Im thinking of buying some gsp, is it difficult to handle? 2. Id like to place on my back wall and sandbed, is that hard to control? I keeping hearing to stay away from gsp and xenia??

It's a weed coral yes. But you've got it right. Keep it contained. It's easy to scrape off the glass.

My Xenia is on the glass and overflow.

*They are easy and once they established it's impossible to kill them off (they not doing well with super nutrition low tank), it's all depend on your future coral stocking when you have enough experience you might regret that you added Xenia, GSP into you tank though but if you have plan then nothing wrong with those Xenia or GSP, if they look good to you then it's good :)
**I'm not sure they will grow on the sand bed though, I believe they need to take hold place their foot on hard surface.

Thanks! I was planning on buying some rock rubble and spreading it on the sandbed maybe some slated rock.

Get the one that is nuclear green if you can find it. Its a looker.

I've seen it grow on the sand bed but it spreads faster on a hard surface. We had a bunch of it but it grows fast so we traded of the rocks that were covered in it. Now we keep some on the overflow. @mtraylor is right, hold out for neon green GSP. It glows even with the halides on, it's bright under actinics. Far back corner on the overflow.

I had mine on a rock in the sand bed but it is now growing about 4 inch off the rock on the sand bed

Both my overflows are covered in GSP. I purposely did it as to cover those ugly columns. In my experience, it doesnt grow on glass. If you let algae build on the glass, the gsp will attach and grow to that.

I have heard from my LFS as well as other nearby reefers that Tiger Cowerys, will in fact eat GSP.
Should the need to control/eradicate it, arise.
