I tried turning the tv up.. still too noisy.. maybe i need ear plugs to drain out the noise.

i took pics of my overflow and return. My tank has two overflow boxes, one on each end. With a duro standpipe and a return pipe in each overflow. The return lines have a tee on them going to the return pump. And the overflow lines go to my sock filters.. Most of the noise is coming from the oveflow boxes or overflow hoses..

Welcome! Glad you joined. Not familiar with Nuvo so I'll defer to others.

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This might help you find people local to you:

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

Hi again, is the noise from water falling over the wier or the pipe?
Wier problem can be solved easily by raising the standpipe so the water will fall less.
If it's from the pipe itself, I believe your problem is it's not getting enough air. If You Yank that pipe out on top for the air that may be enough. If you still get the gurgling sound make that hole slightly bigger until it stops. What's happening in this case is water is falling down the pipe but there's not enough air getting in so it's creating a vacuum, when the vacuum happens, the water has got to catch up so it gurgles.
Let me know how you make out with either of those problems.

Looks like the nuvo is setup for a beam animal.
The main drain needs a gate valve near the sump. It also should be lower in the weir area so it can go to a full syphone. The middle pipe should be set high enough so there is no splashing over the weir. The third pipe is just above the second pipe so no water flow down it but, if there is a clog, water can go down before it spills over the tank.
