Yeah Im less freaked out than I was when I posted. I just wish I could see all my fish to check on them. But Im still working on waterchanges

Im sure they probably got spooked with all the hubbub and cloudy water etc. Seems like this is something that probably happens regularly enough to have a straight forward plan of attack based on @vetteguy53081's response. I know i would have been panicking at first. I spent months worrying my tank might have gotten stuff in it before I bought my first corals :face-with-tears-of-joy:

You can but likely no need with presence of carbon.

Carbon should help with cloudiness and after lights should be clearer tomorrow. Water changes too will reduce it

I would also suggest a 2 filament IM helio heater system which comes with its own control panel and is bullet proof.

I will for sure be looking into that. I wont ever have a heater like that again in a tank!!!

@vetteguy53081 the Uv I got is a high powered one made for ponds no cover. Put it in the sump, but should I move it to the DT? Wasnt sure if the light would harm the fish’s eyes at all

I'm going to throw my unrequested two cents in here and say that I personally think any UV bulb outside of some kind of enclosure is dangerous. Maybe I'm making too much of it, but please be careful for your fish and YOUR eyes, remember your family and fur-pets too, if you have them.

On no I always like your two cents and its always appreciated And yeah I was kind of wondering about that too, I didnt realize it didnt come with a cover. I put it in the back part of the sump to where it isnt super in the way and the cabinet doors keep my little fur babies out! I was in a hurry to get one after the main UV went out and get a replacement one until I can figure out how to get a new cord for my nice one. I kept it in the sump because I was worried about it but questioned if it would be more effective in the DT. I have a green killing machine in the DT as a secondary one to my main UV so thats in the DT and is covered.

And yeah Im a little afraid of UV rays and have a phobia of radiation actually so Im super aware of that!
