Gyre 150 for mp40 quiet drive

Two completely different flow makers.
The Gyre XF150 is a great flow creator especially with the Icecap Module for the APEX.
I've as long I been in this hobby (40+ years) never seen a pump that can create a flow through out a whole tank as the Gyre.
Now come in place the trustful Vortech pumps, I've had 5 MP40's WES on my tank and I always believed in them, still do.
I just like the flow of the Gyre better and so are my corals.
Since a month I was lucky enough to get my hands on a QD and have it running together with two other MP40's on my frag tanks.
I must say Ecotech made a big improvement, they are even better durable, 1300gal max flow more and a 90% noise reduction.
That is on the complete new QD pumps and I'm talking the MP40's here.
If you upgrade a old MP40 wes with a new QD driver and QD wet side you'll improve more flow patterns, some what a noise reduction but that depends on how old and worn your dry side motor is.
I didn't see a big improvement on doing a upgrade from a old MP40's.
