I did some research and saw some older threads but I know there are new gyres out there. My question is what is the quietest one? My icecaps are sticking and annoying me, and I have already deep cleaned them. I know the icecap is cheapest and I feel best dollar for dollar. So I find my decision being based on which one I won't hear. Anyone have experience they can give me?

I have a hydros so I know putting icecaps would be easiest, I know they're sufficient but guess doesn't have longevity on their side. I don't see the price point being huge however and the adapter for the maxspect is 15 bucks.

Currently have 3 4k's and an mp40... honestly leaning to 4 xf350's...

The XF350's are dead silent when broken in. You'll only hear the whirr if you put your ear to the glass

They are not Gyres, but they are BULLETPROOF and dead silent...Reef Octopus OctoPulse.

I have IceCap Gyres on my system...but the OP Pumps are 😍

Past that, cleaning the pumps with citric acid.

When reassembling, it's crucial that you don't over tighten the cages.

Ensure the propellers are installed properly, there is an A/B side.

My 2ks were noisy until I reversed their running direction on my WE LE. They still aren't silent but it is way better than it was.

I ran the pumps individually to find the noisy one and it is broken on one side of the impeller. Got a local that is going to 3d print the piece to see if I can salvage it but I did end up getting a couple of xf350's. So when they get here I will take down the mp40 and the broken 4k, and see which one I prefer between the 2 4k's and the 2 350's. I like the mp40 for what it is, but I really hate having to bounce back and forth between apps and I feel like the gyres will be more than sufficient

I still have to run mobius for the return but we will work on that later...
