Been wanting to get rid of these suckers for about a year. I finally caught them in a 3d printed trap. That trap is 7 7/8 inches long (and that's basically all of it in the picture) and that's a full size Rubbermaid bowl too, so these guys are big. There are 4 of them and they weight about 38 grams (1.34 ounces). Glad I won't have to feed them anymore. :)

OK. So what are they and give some background. I am not good at guessing games.

Also, I see this is your first post on r2r. Welcome.

Bristle worms are so good for your reef
Once I cleaned my glasses, it was obvious.

Laser,
What else is in the system. I use bristle worms as detrivores for maintaining sandbed. In a mature system, their larvae are food for filter feeders.

Welcome to Reef2Reef! People have a love-hate with those creatures. I have never had them in my tank so I can't say if I would love them or not. @BristleWormHater has some great opinions on them

Hi,
My tank has a Dory ... Blue Tang obviously, yellow tang, 2 clownfish, a fairy wrasse (1 jumped out), a diamond goby (1 jumped out), a couple of Peppermint shrimp (populated it with 10 but pretty sure it's down to about 2), a Mandarin Goby, goodness knows how many snails ... populated with about 15 turbo snails ... not sure howmany left, populated a dozen conch snails. a foxface rabbitfish, and a cleaner shrimp. Oh almost forgot, a red linckia, a serpent seastar, and a blue Goby with a pistol shrimp.

Yeah maybe they can be clean up crew .... but that's a lot of uninvited guests. I told my wife we may have an algae bloom if the water chemistry goes bad without them, but I'd rather fix the water chemistry with something of my own design.

They were just too big. The store that built my aquarium wanted me to leave them alone (that's why they lasted a year hehehehehe). But they had to go.
