what fish or invert would be best for diatoms and hair algae in a 90 gallon? its not enough to make me want to get into the tank with tweezers but its just really small patches of hair algae. current stock is a dog face, blue spot toby and a flame tail blenny

While for both , as listed below, its important to find the source for reduction. A couple of pics under white lighting are always helpful.
Are you using RODI water or tap water from faucet?
Do you know your phosphate level?
Is tank at or near a window?

Pull as much GHA you can by hand and add:
snails:
astrea
turbo grazer
cerith
trochus

Pencil urchin

8 Carribean blue leg hermit which are tiny

Even a fighting conch

no i recently moved and had to fill the tank with tap water and prime was a 22 hour drive for the fish and they just needed to get into a tank, doing water changes with ro water pretty frequently to compensate

That may have been the culprit
