Having little pockets of hair algae popping up over all my rocks for the past maybe couple months. Can’t get to the root of the problem

Nutrients have been stable for probably over a year until this last week when my phos went down to 0 and nitrates are at 4.5 currently.

Anyone have advice on how to try and get rid of the algae?

Got an urchin who seems to be all over my rocks cleaning the rocks but not the hair algae. dang hermit crab killed my turbo snail who I just got.

Got a bunch of Florida ceriths, astrea, trochus, hermits.

Seems to be getting worse each day but not totally invaded yet.

Just ordered 5280 pods and ocean magic from algae barn.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ah yes, I had a problem just like this. But what I did was take out all my rocks, scrub them with a soft bristle brush and put them back in. Alternatively you can do it inside the tank, also sea hares love GHA.

Yeah I can’t take the rocks out unfortunately. I’ve scrubbed a little while they’re in the tank but my clownfish won’t stop attacking me!

Will look into a sea hare though, appreciate it.
