2 of my frags are growing a lot of hair algae. Corals are still opening Dailey and looking fine but when they close at night there is a lot of hairy algae around the entire frag. Should I be worried??

If it bothers you just scrub it off, is the algae on the acual coral or just the plug?

When setting up a new tank or when its fairly still young, you can run into some problems with elevated phosphate levels. Alot of people will agree/disagree that .25 is high but i would just lower it a bit with some gfo, maybe less then .1. Some frag plugs leach p04 thus eventually attracting algae so i wouldnt worry about it. But what i would worry about is if its growing in/around/on and near your corals so i would give it a quick brush or pluck.

Thanks for your help. I'm gonna wait a bit and see what happens for now. Probably will try to pick off when I do next water change. Thx again
