Only see it offered as juvies. How risky is this fish in a reef tank? How does it play with other wrasses. Is it like most other Halichoeres or is it more aggressive?

It gets larger and more aggressive than most other Halichoeres. It's aggression when grown is comperable to a small Thalassoma species.

Thanks TJ, that's what I was afraid of. I love seeing them when I dive the Caribbean and was interested in seeing if they would fit in a wrasse dominated mixed reef. Shucks.

One of my favorite dive pics.

That picture is perfectly representative of what you'd expect in a tank. :p

LOL, yeah. These two guys were going at it for a while before I was able to get the shot.

Now that I think about it the only fish on Caribbean reefs that I see chasing other fish more than yellow head wrasses are Queen Angels and we know what their reputation is.
