Hamilton 10K DE Icecap review.

Put together a Hamilton 250 wt 10K DE and an Icecap ballast and the combination is one of the most intense. Looks like high noon bright white sunlight is bearing down on my reef tank. Was afraid of the yellow look with the 10 K but not a factor with this bulb and ballast running it. Had the bulb on an Odyssea electronic ballast while waiting for the Icaecap to arrive...it was painful to look at.
Bought the Odyssea for the 36" 2x96wt PC/250wt MH. Knew the bulbs would be crap from the start but all the other 36" fixtures with PC were 2x65wt. Bought 2x96wt Hamilton actinics and an Icecap ballast for the Hamilton MH bulb and still a good price compared to other name brand fixtures.
ANd the Odyssea plugs right into the Icaecap direct. No mods needed.

I have only used 250 Hamilton SE 14k MH bulbs and loved them. Hamilton makes quality stuff....
