Hey r2r

I have a hammer coral which during the day looks good polyp extension is nice and its coloring up well its in the tank for 3 weeks now.

Today when the light turned off i noticed the fleshband is having this weird coloration (see picture) is this normal or is this bjd? Other then the flesh color the coral looks normal during the day but i have mostly torches and hammers so i rather be safe then sorry

edit: It also looks like the head might be splitting can this cause discoloration?

I don't see BJD, BJD appears as a brown jelly like mass around the polyps that progresses quickly.
ah okay thats good to hear, but is it normal for the flesh to be that color, cause all my other torches and hamer corals have a white flesh band

about 3 so fairly new. Give it some time to acclimate. It seems to look fine to me just still adjusting and not fully extending.
Fairly new then. Give it time to fully acclimate. I’m sure it will have full polyp extension once it does. It looks fairly healthy to me.

Can you post water test results for this tank? Especially for nutrients, but also s.g., temperature, etc.
