Hello,

Can somebody tell me what is going on with my Hammer Coral's stony base? I noticed that it's getting thinner and it has an open hole. You can't really see it in the picture, but the middle is almost completely gone.

Water parameters:
Salinity: 1.025
Alk: 8.5
Calcium: 380
Magnesium: 1275

Thank you in advance for any advise/comment.

What kind of lighting do you have and where is it placed? Also what about flow?

Is that the rock it’s on it the actual calcium carbonate structure?

I’d say a quick dip would suit this situation, maybe scrub the base of anything foreign?

IF YOU HAD TO OPERATE EVERYTHING ELSE MANUALLY, WHICH AUTOMATED SYSTEM WOULD YOU KEEP?
