I am having a hard time determining what is enough flow for my coral here is my hammer is this to much flow ? Its been in this spot for about 4 or 5 days now I had it on the sand bed in a dead zone in the back of thr tank and it honestly looked better when it had no flow at all thr problem I am having is my returns in my tank are blasting flow back into the display I feel like.

Maybe a little too much flow, you usually want the hammers polyps "dancing"

Hammers are generally low light/low flow.

Good choice on the meter!

Yeah... I find hammers to be ground ball corals. Just put them in and watch them grow.

I finally got the video to work and feel the flow is fine. Just let it be.

Yeah, I turned down my return pump last night because I felt like the water returning to the tank was so fast that I didn't even need power heads in the tank

It's confusing because at the pet store. When I buy s p s corals, they're like, oh, they need pretty high flow. And then, as i'm staring at their tank, I don't see any flow in the tank at all

Never listen to the advice of your LFS until they've proven themselves to be motivated by the success of their customers.

Brick and mortar stores are having a difficult time keeping up with on line resellers.

My advice is to ask HERE FIRST. Then take your questions to the LFS and compare.
