I bought a green hammer Saturday morning. It was happy for two days, but yesterday it started to shrivel up. Last night I did a water change with red sea salt. Today it's gone in further.
Here it is Sunday

And today

What's going on here?
Salinity 1024
Reef breeder led
I'll do a test shortly, but what generally speaking causes this?
Thanks

You can try a revive or iodine dip. But in all honesty if it if brown jelly the survival rate is like 5%

Yes, and as best as possible try not to get any of the jelly in the water.

Google brown jelly or search it here on r2r for better pics. Before making your choice

Bummer. I put it on a bucket of leftover saltwater I had, and used a turkey Baster to blow out the slime. I know it's probly hopeless at this point. I suck

Its nothing you did. Just happens.
Setup a simple qt tank for future purchases to protect your display.

I may just keep it in a bucket of water with some light and see what happens.

I dunno why it's so high... Then again I recently removed my chemipure elite. I figured my cheato would consume phosphate. Maybe I'll try purigen. I do have a bad habit of over feeding tho. Gotta stop that lol
