Woke up today and a one of my hammers mouths is inflated. Anyone know what could cause this?

Does it look like a bubble? If so I have seen this with my frogspawn and hammers when they are splitting and then it goes away.

It looked the the mouth itself was inflated. I know what you are talking about with the bubble and that wasn't it.

Since posting the hammers mouth has returned to normal. Not sure what was up with it.

Good to hear, perhaps it is trying to find a way to communicate that it is hungry and wants a cheeseburger.
