Hammer Not doing to good

I recently have noticed my hammer and chalice not looking to great. I recently had a salinity drop to 1.23 and I slowly brought it back up to 1.26 1.25. Any tips on helping to improve the health of my corals? I use Red Sea AB+ a couple times a week and feed reef roids.

Blue light pictures are hard to see anything.
How about a side shot and full tank shot? Lose the blues.

Start with getting your parameters in check. Temp, salinity, dKh, mag, etc. Med light and decent’ indirect flow.

I’ve always found Euphyllias (and all LPS really) do well in an iodine dip. You can be aggressive with the dosage too. I like ReefDip but there are plenty of other options too.

My tank is at 78

The only flux I had was when I switched from Red Sea pro salt to Red Sea blue bucket. I gradually switched over time but the alk before the switch always was really high around 10. So I’m sure they just need time to recover from that switch and I need to keep my salinity in check.

Not bad, just grumpy from the change. After they settle back down they should extend nicely.

If you haven’t already, dip it in full strength iodine ASAP. You can also use an H2O2 dip but it’s harder on the coral.

Go to the grocery store and get providone/betadine. It's a lot less expensive and perfect for this application. Grocery store H2O2 is also cheap :)

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to convey. Guess I should have been more clear.

I never suggested dipping in pure iodine. What I meant was a strong iodine and tank water mixture. Ergo, a full strength dip. I’ve had a ton of success dipping sick LPS corals in strong iodine concentrations. Essentially a rusty red/brown color.

Don’t take my word for it though. The marine biologists at That Pet Place wrote an article suggesting this very same thing a few years ago. It works well for them, and for me too.
