Hi everyone,
I noticed my hammer coral has been releasing these long, brown, stringy strands from its mouth today (as shown in the pictures).
My tank parameters are currently very stable: KH is at 8.3 and NO3 is at 6.1 ppm. The polyp extension still looks great, full, and inflated.
I’m really hoping it’s just expelling zooxanthellae (corals pooping), but with hammer corals, I always get a bit paranoid about BJD (Brown Jelly Disease).
Does this look like a normal bathroom break, or should I be worried and prepare a dip?
Thanks in advance for any input!
