I've got this sps that's grown incredibly thick branches over the years. The branches are probably as thick as a tube of the epoxy we use to glue frags in our tanks. Has anyone tried using this to saw the branches down?

I've tried to cut the branch and it seems like all its going to do is eventually break the entire colony off the rock work.
