Hannah checkers
Nitrate 3.1
Phosphate .50
Alk 9.9 (Apex 9.02)
Ph 7.9 (Apex 8.24)
Mag 1175. (Apex 1328)
Calcium 532 (Apex-464)
Salinity 1.26 - refractometer

I’d like to have people’s inputs on what can be throwing off either Hannah or apex , I’m trusting apex as it should be more consistent , so what’s up with Hannah checkers ?

They both have +and - deviation its always good to check with a kit like Salifert
The Trident tests with a precision of +/- 0.05 dKh for Alkalinity and 15ppm for Calcium and Magnesium
I calibrate my Trident off my Salifert readings and it reads pretty close to it until the reagents are getting waisted

PH Probes should be calibrated as well with the reagents

How did you test that?

Don't believe marketing hype.

I use hanna mostly, but verify occasionally with red sea or salifert or both.
Hanna (alk, nitrate, phosphate) is usually correct, except for the calcium tester we stopped using years ago.

If you really want to know then do an icp test at the exact same time you do Hanna and Apex test. Keep notes and compare when icp results are in.
