Hanna po4 checker packets

I have some packets of the po4 powder that are almost expired. How much past the date would you use them? I can believe the powder is bad the second the date rolls around.

I was told that because these are made in Europe they are required to put an expiration date on the packets. I was told by the manufacture that they should still be good well past the expiration date and I have used some that were almost 1 year expired and compared readings to ones that were brand new and don't expire till 2014 and got the same readings on my Hana bench checker.
