Not really sure what this stuff is. Its been taking over my tank slowly.

It comes off the rock fairly easy and once its off it floats.

I’m really interested to see what it is. My thoughts at first some type of sea grape calpera or egg sack but I know it not it

I've seen bubble algae look less green, similar to what you have. I've seen bubble algae grow in clumps very similar to what you have.

But yours are a little more brown than I've seen and the shape of the bubbles isn't as perfectly round as the bubble algae I've seen grow in clumps.

All that said, I'm still betting it's an algae. I've seen lots and lots of different kind of eggs and those look a lot less like eggs than algae to me. But I readily admit, that's just my semi-educated ID.

When you squeeze them, do they pop like bubble algae or are they more gelatinous?

Going with bubble algae as well. I have had great luck with rabbitfish eating bubble algae.

This type of algae is in a 50 lowboy, not sure if a rabbit would be a good fit.

I found some of the problem. My rodi water was testing at .22 phosphate via a hanna. Tested the incoming water 3 seperate times. My DI resin has an output of 2 on my tds meter.

Ended up changing out my anion and cation resin (yes i seperate them)

Guess we will see whats been feeding this algae. Ill try and get a full tank shot soon.

After a few weeks it seems to be declining in density from changing out the DI resin. Incoming RODI is 0TDS, and 0 phosphates.

The tank still has a long way to recover

I have the exact same thing and don't know what it is or how to get rid of it. But mine mostly grows by the return lines from display to sump.
