Hey fellow RS reefers. I am trying to get my head around hard plumbing with a manifold my reefer 750XXL.

I know a lot of ppl use the monster tape but what piece goes from the bulk head?
3/4" adapters?

its totally messing me up the the return in on the right. looks great if you dont plan to run a manifold.

can you post some pics of what do did plz I have most of the parts for the manifold but putting together another order for parts and what to get it right.

I plan to make my return 1" T off to 1/2" for reactors.
1" for main drain with new gate valve
3/4" for E drain

does this sound right?

My manifold will come out of the ball valve. It will be 1” with each drop bushes down to 3/4”. I should have it close to being done this weekend. I’ll post more pics for you.

Can you post some updated pics? I too have purchased a RSR with v3 sump and trying to figure out how to properly run a manifold to the left, which is what you have done and the consensus with others. Also did you install your FM right before your return on purpose, did you just want to know flow to DT or flow at discharge of pump?

The FM is there because I always want to know the flow (and track/log it) going to the DT. When I start diverting flow from my DT to my manifold, I want to increase my return pump to maintain that amount of flow to the DT.

Here is the pic of the manifold...

It is still valved off until I find a use for the manifold.

I appreciate the response, i should of read further and i found your 750XXL build thread. I'm going to steal your concept on manifold routing, unfortunately on my XL 425 i don't have the length for that many T's. I'll probably have to cut it to two (2) T's, but i like the idea of the last 90. I saw AstroReefer put a ball valve and 90 turned to sump with a spigot fitting so he can recirculate which may be a good idea.

I've been looking to hard plumb my RS 250 Reefer. I can't for the life of me find adaptor unions or fittings to go from 32mm to 1".

I just came across your post and I'm wondering how this has held up for you, and what did you use to convert everything to 1"? Did you just tape the bulkheads to expand the threading for the unions? Or did you convert the bulkheads to 1" from the 32mm, and that's just the normal layer of tape to prevent leaks?

I look forward to hearing from you!

you got two options: I just discovered another one.
1st one is what I did on the Rs750XXl but never set it up as we moved and tradied for a 650P

1:
Unscrew the barb fitting get yourself a 3/4"X1" thread to slip.

A few rounds of good thread tape I used blue monster ppl seam to really like it. It's thicker than the cheap white stuff.

there you go you just Converted your Red sea metric to 1" plumbing.

If I would have known all this I would have bought the schedule 80 3/4"x1" slip when I was placing my order from supply house.
Was felling cheap and did not want to spend $15 More bucks on 2 prices of plumbing + the time it takes to get here.
Also wanted to make sure it really did work!

I believe total price was around $50 that included ( not counting rest of 1"plumbing)
Thread tape
Red sea adapters I only did return and main drain
3/4"x1"

this is the way move ppl covert RS to standard plumbing I went with 1" here but you could go smaller if you needed.

option #2 and is what I did for my new 650P as the above method drops the pipe to low for the peninsula tanks.

here is the method above as you can see it to low.

you need a metric to standard adapter

however you need a coupling to go with it.

Here is another solution that I used and wrote about.

I did a full description in my build thread. The V3 makes it tricky with many previously well documented builds being non v3 sumps.

You can check out my build thread as I gave a step-by-step tutorial on how I did it.

I have had ZERO problems and it works great.

As @Devaji mentioned, there are several ways to do it now. Back when we were doing it, it was kind of new.
