Good morning all! I have a 200 gal mixed reef tank & an Asterina problem. I've been assured that the tank is large enough that the Asterinas can keep pace with a harlequin shrimp appetite. Has anyone had experience with this in a "big" tank? (In this group, a 200 gal is probably just one size up from nano!). Has anyone tried keeping Asterinas in a breeder net in the sump & dividing them in half with a blade to increase their repro rate? Thanks for any info!

Hmm this is interesting. I just got a little Harlequin a few weeks ago, and I am waiting on my asterina population to go down. Then I am planning on chocolate chip starfish but if this idea would work...hopefully someone has some advice. :)

You wouldn't be able to keep up with their appetite due to the time it would take for the asterinas to regrow the other half. Plan on buying chocolate chip stars regularly to be able to keep one long term.
