Will harlequin shrimp eat serpent stars? They are not real starfish. I need to get rid of those tiny grey/white stars that seem to multiply as you see them. Not sure if they are good or bad. Some i see on glass others on coral stems or wondering on zoanthids.

I've heard those harlequin shrimo are quite temperamental but serpent stars eat everything. Might be a bad mix

Not sure about serpent stars... but, if you plan on keeping them in the same tank, you can try Linckia, Fromia, Asterina, any reef-safe starfish. Though they are the cheapest, be wary about adding in Chocolate Chip Starfish as they can be predatory (They can be kept in your sump if you have one, just cut off a leg and feed it to your shrimp, meanwhile the starfish will regenerate). But then, you'll have to take care to keep the star alive as well.

The stars you see are asterina stars. A harlequin shrimp will eat them.
