We have been working on breeding harlequin shrimp at Aquatic Technology for many years now. We are happy to announce that we were recently successful in raising hybrid harlequins

Our first success was with a pair from Indonesia and then with a Hawaiian pair

We lost half our breeding pair of Hawaiian harlequins so we paired the remaining female with a male from Indonesia

The eggs appeared on female 8/30
Eggs hatched 9/29
First settlers 11/8
So far we have over 50 settlers

Congrats! I love my harlequin. Is it possible to train them when they are young to eat something other than starfish? That would be a game changer. My heart breaks a bit every time I feed my harlequin a new star fish.
