The idea of keeping a big fish or a few predator ones in a big tank is intriguing to me. If I had one more tank I'd keep a Niger Trigger or some kind of large Angel, just like people keeping Arowana or Flowerhorn on the freshwater side. Wondering if you guys ever done this, and is it more fun than reef in your opinion?

We have a predatory fish discussion forum, here's my 90g venomous predator tank, a 40B venom, and a bc29 venom. As my byline states "true predator tanks", which infers everyone eats live food. A total of 11 venomous predators in 3 tanks. There's even a flame hawk and an aiptasia eating filefish with my little guys that hunt down live ghosties with the rest of them. Keeping one large fish isn't as fun, unless you are talking a fang tooth eel. One large fish in a 180g plus just isn't that entertaining. I would trade my 210g in for 4 smaller tanks with predators like lions and scorps.

I have an adult Niger with an adult Emperor. They spar a little but nothing series. It is a great combo and fairly affordable if you purchase small. Highly recommended!

There are a few tangs in the tank as well. :)

Not exactly related but when I went to the XPark Aquarium (affiliated with Chuaraumi in Okinawa) in Taoyuan (near Taipei) I saw a tank with sharks (not the smaller cat sharks / bamboo sharks, more like the Black Tip Reef Sharks) and a massive Queensland Grouper. The sharks had my condolences, in advance.
