I would love to share my experience with reefing
I got my first reef tank a little over 2 years ago. My daughter was 12 then. She thought it was really cool but she also sees all the work that goes into it.
Last fall she was in a horrible accident. She had fractures in her spine. After the surgery we spent a lot of time together trying to get through this.
Amazingly, I won the nano tank showdown last fall. So now Allie has her first reef tank, a Deskmate Florida. I'm happy to announce that she loves it. She can't help much with maintaining it because she's still struggling with recovery and has a few more surgeries coming up. But she loves to help test and write Chen the results.
My daughter and I have always been close (I'm a single father). Reefing is just one more thing that brings us joy together.
Has anyone else have similar experiences? I'd love to hear them.
