Hi all -

I am having difficulty with my Reeflink/MP40wQD setup. I'm not entirely sure what's going on, to be honest... I've been through the process of updating the firmware on it, and it will recognize my MP40's, but it won't control them. I have set up a schedule in EcoSmart Live, but the pumps won't follow the schedule. I'm running two MP40wQD's I have gone through the process of making one a "master" and the other a "slave" so that I can control both with one driver, but I'd rather be able to control them both with EcoSmart Live. Any suggestions on what I should try? Thanks in advance!

I’ve noticed that if a day or so passes from the last time I used the ecosmart live app on my iPad, the next time I open it, it says can’t connect to my devices. If I power cycle the reef link then it relogins and everything is visible.

When it fails, the lights on the reeflink are like a rainbow multicolor, after the power cycle, they are all blue.

Is this normal?

When its blue I believe it's communicating and online. Multi color lights usually means its offline. After setting the program did you click on the blue program button on ecosmart live to update?
mine went offline after a power outtage and I had to delete it from ecosmart live and set it up again. Has worked fine since then.

Yes, the lights are all programmed. It just seems like the reeflink won’t stay connected more than a day. I assume it’s losing the WiFi? Maybe I should just keep it plugged to my router and see if that makes a difference.

So I solved my problem - The firmware update along with a soft reboot of my MP40's remedied my issue! My Reeflink and MP40's are communicating nicely! Thanks for the input everyone!

For future reference (for anyone searching this topic) if you setup a master/slave relationship at the pumps (not via Reeflink) it apparently will override what your Reeflink is telling your pumps to do. Read up on this if you're having trouble!
