Hello, I have had my Red Sea Reefer 450 up and running as a mixed tank with a few fish to slowly grow the bio load. I recently purchased an additional Red Sea Nano Max 60 liter to act as a quarantine before moving fish into the display tank.

I have a friend who quarantines any larger fish and supplies me with corals. However, there are times when I would need to purchase a fish and quarantine it myself to make sure its safe before adding to the DT.

My question is with an additional nano tank would it be advisable to keep this tank fish-free and perhaps only coral? (Ideally I would like to have only SPS in this tank.)

I want to stay focused on what would be most beneficial rather than ending up with 2 mixed tanks with fish in both of them.

From experience does anyone have suggestions or best practices with best usage two tanks?
