hi guys so I’d like some advice on my situation.

So I’ve order dog food from amazon 3 times now. The first time everything went perfect, got my food delivered the day it said.
But the second time is when I started having problems. The food said it got delivered when it never did (I was home all day And the dogs go crazy when the gate opens and the doorbell rings) and I thought oh they might’ve accidentally scanned it so I waited the next day, never came. I was like since it’s saturday I’ll wait until Monday, never came. I contacted usps and Amazon and usps never contacted me but Amazon said they’d resend it. Thankfully they did and received it the next day.
Now this time a few days ago I reordered thinking it was a one time thing. But no they did it again. This time it said that I had missed the delivery and that they left a note. I was home all day and when I went out there wasn’t no note. So I looked at the tracking number and tried rescheduling a delivery but it said that it wasn’t unavailable for my address and that id have to go pick it up.

This has only happened to me with my dog food, btw it’s 40 pounds. Is it because it’s too heavy and too much work to carry it through my gate and up 4 steps? I mean from the door of my house to the street is probably a 12 foot distance.
I mean they could leave it at the bottom of my steps and just ring the door bell. I don’t know it’s a bit frustrating that I have to pick it up when I wanted it delivered.
I know this isn’t amazons fault but I won’t order my food from Amazon anymore, I’ll try jet since they deliver with fedex

I buy my dog food from Amazon (it's also 40 pounds). They always ship it USPS for some odd reason. Only once did I get a bad that was damaged and about 2 to 4 pounds came out of the box during transport (there were a few kibbles on my walkway leading up to the house, so there was a tell-tale trail). Anyhow, I contacted Amazon, and they sent a replacement bag and told me to keep that one. If you contact customer service, they are pretty responsive. A few weeks ago, I purchased some reef dip from them, it was a day late. When I contacted them, they offered me a full refund and I got to keep the day-late item.

Shipping companies need to shape up or they are about too loose allot of business.

Amazon, Costco and other stores are starting their own delivery services because of theft, non deliveries, wrong deliveries, damage and to keep cost down.

I have had super good luck with Fed ex and lots of issues with UPS. Also have hit or miss with USPS but not to many issues mostly damaged goods.

Amazons own delivery service now takes pictures of the package at your house so they have proof. I wonder how long till they demand it of other delivery services.

To many people claim no delivery when they got it. also not Amazons fault if something get stolen.

Best thing is to have the package left at the depot and pick it up yourself.

It could have been delivered to wrong address too...

What I do not get is delivery service upping their prices making more and more reasons to companies to their own.
