Heater Controller

I found out my heater controller went bad on me sometime recently. Probably in the last week. My temps had fallen to 70 degrees. I’m assuming it’s been that temp for a few days as it’s what the house is set to. Everything looks fine and happy and I have a new controller. How much of change over time should I make to get back to 78? I started with 2 degrees. It’s a 75 gallon reef system with mostly lps.

If everything is fine and happy I'd say 2 degrees a day should be just fine.
I don't have any lps but my tank frequently fluctuates 2 degrees every day, especially during the summer.
