Will my 300 watt heater be ok placed close to my skimmer? It is not touching just wanted to get other’s opinions , with more experience. The chamber beside skimmer will be for icecap algae turf scrubber sump model which will take all the space so beside skimmer was my best option.

Thanks

Looks fine. The main thibgs for heater placement are water flow, not exposed to air at any time, and no risk of it being crushed/shattered.

So, as long as heater fully submerged no danger of getting too hot or melting anything?
Yes. As already mentioned, just be sure the heater is mounted in such a way that it's not in contact with anything... although I'll say that my heater bracket occasionally comes loose from the wall of the sump and has never caused a problem.
