Heater---which one?

So my aquarium heater went out that came with the setup I have. I need to know:

What is the best heater to buy for a 125 gallon reef tank that'll be hooked up to my Reefkeeper and placed in my sump?

I tried all kinds, but I would go with the FINNIX TITANIUM deluxe 500watt with premium controller.

Extremely good , stable , accurate , hooks up to my APEX and works perfect....

If they will fit (they are long), my first choice is eheim jager.....very thick glass. My second choice, which I had to go with because of fitting in the sump, was Sera.

If you have a Reefkeeper, I would highly recommend the expansion socket, and actually run two heaters....I'm thinking two 200W to 300W heaters. This socket will support two heaters and only take one "slot" on your Reefkeeper DC8 or 4.

When one heater craps out....and it will.....the second heater will hold the tank from going too cold. It's a safety thing. I'm doing it on my tank.

I ran 2 heaters, and actually was more costly in usage as 2 heaters working, when my 500wt FINNIX heats up fast and maintains, the other2 where cycling to much on..off.

Electricity bill has gone down since installing my FINNIX

I run them undersized in case one where to stick on.... Tank won't overheat

Running any heater on the Neptune is the best bet I run two heaters twice necessary on my Neptune there set to 77but my Neptune controls when it comes on and goes off it's a double fail safe ! I was always against forking over the money for a Neptune but so glad I did

I recall hearing that the rule of thumb for heaters is 2W per gallon. Is that correct?
