I actually picked up the tank on a Sunday than almost cut my thumb off on the next Friday. Freak flying microwave incident! Lol anyways if I spent 150 dollars on water from the lfs at that point I would be dead! Wife would have drowned me in it!

Really hoping with this type of formations I can get a little bit of everything I want in there for coral. Areas with high light high flow and also under ledges for low light and flow. Should work. Lol

EDM I am Intrested in maybe doing some foam structures. Or at least checking into it. Might be able to limit my live rock a bit. Idk. You have any links on diy stuff that way?

Ok idea. What if I went crazy retro my own type. Order a bunch of shelf rock and a bunch of acrylic rod. Idk 3/4 inch rod. And just made stands for the shelf. Than Just take rubble or small pieces rock and put on the shelf where ever I feel like. Would be nice for mounting corals to rocks than moving them anywhere I wanted.....

Yea, you could do that. Heres a guys build thread, he used the threaded acrylic rod for his rock work.

also if you want to hide the PVC and rock connection points use pool repair foam (throw salt on it before it cures. then wash it off after its dry to create relalistic rock look) and it will look like the rock your bonding the pipe to

Well I got my temporary light today. Rick was nice enough to send me a 155e to use for the 30 Days I'm waiting for my 240 lumentek-pro. Had some acrylic sitting around so I made a quick stand to set it on. Lol not awsome but will work for a month! Kinda on standby for about a month until my stuff gets here and I can afford to go big with my aqua scape. I will have my controller next week so I'll be messing with that!

Been looking through some of these build threads. I wish I could drop 15 grand on a tank. Lol. Everything new from conception of tank! Well this is not that tank. Hahhahah this is a 2 year project!

Spent the last two days trying to figure out what I wanna do for dosing. Might run a kalk reactor with my ato and see what I can get for water quality that way. Idk. I get my RA controller maybe Wednesday in the mail and can start playing. That may help me with my decision as to just dose or use kalk

I'm also still debating my power heads. I got two koralia 1200s in there. Could get a controller for them or just replace with jaebo's since my reef angel will control them. Leaning the way of jaebo's.
