Hello all, my names Dan but my friends know me as Hedley. I have a problem which I hope to make better by sharing with you....... I’m a reefaholic.
It feels good to get that off my chest!

Now I would like to introduce you to my little slice of the reef known as @Hedleys_reef.

This system is an AC Aquatics custom 3x2x2 which I bought second hand from a local reefer. The system holds approximately 300 litres of salty goodness, and is my first SPS dominant system which I set up in April 2018.

Equipment list:
2x Radion XR30 Gen 5 Pros
2x Orphek OR2 Bars Blue Plus
2x EcoTech MP40
2x AI Nero 5
Clarisea SK5000
Vertex Omega 200i skimmer
GHL KH Director
Eheim 3000 return pump
10L of Siporax
6 Mantis Bio Blocks
Kamoer 4x WiFi Doser
Auto Top Up

Additives:
I am currently dosing ATI Pro two part solutions to take care of my major, minor and trace elements.

Quantum phosphate remover is dosed at 2ml a day, split into 4 x 0.5ml doses. I have the dosing line set up over my Clarisea so the precipitates are removed straight away.

Finally, I have just started using Coral Essentials Coral Power Amino and Gro. I’m on my 4th week and have seen some great improvements in colour and PE so I have treated myself to the black label aka the juice which I plan on starting dosing in the next couple of weeks.

I religiously change 50L of water per week with Quantum SPS salt. However, due to covid U.K. supply has ran out so I have made the switch to Tropic Marin Pro Reef.

I currently try and maintain the followingparameters:

Salinity 1.026sg
Alkalinity 7-8dkh
Calcium 400-410ppm
Magnesium 1260-1300ppm
Nitrate 0.5-1ppm
Phosphate 0.02-0.08ppm
Iodine 0.06ppm
Potassium 370-390ppm

As well as being a coral lover I am also a big fish lover, and prefer busy community tanks over ones with few fish and lots of corals. I currently have the following fish:

Purple Tang
Radiant Wrasse
Choati Wrasse
Peacock Wrasse
Leopard Wrasse
Black Leopard Wrasse
Yellow Tail Tamarin Wrasse
6 Line Wrasse
Purple Fire fish
6x Terria Anthias
various snails and hermits.

I did have a stunning Black Storm and a Mocha Snowflake that I have recently moved over to my sons nano that I set up in May (Picture at the bottom).

Thanks for looking and if you have any questions please feel free to comment below.
Cheers @Hedleys_reef
