hey guys just picked one of these up on monday. i saw him in the tank when i first put em in and one fish was kind of bothering him alittle. i took my eyes of the tank for 2min and i haven't seen him since. what do you guys think about it? is he still alive and just hiding? have any of you had this problem before? i know they can hide very well, but i thought he would have come out by now to at least grab a bite to eat.

I have an helfrichi in my 450, well at least I think I still do. When I first put him in there he found a little hole in the rock near the side of my tank so I saw him all of the time, but then one day he vanished. I thought he was dead. Well any ways a couple of months had gone buy and i was walking in front of my tank and there he was out in the open. That was about 3 months ago and I hav'nt seen him since. for sure it was'nt the best hundred bucks I have ever spent:). Good luck finding the little guy

They are really good at hiding and jumping! Give it a few days before you worry too much.

I'm sure you'll see more and more of him... It's a shy fish my buddies usually just hangs out right by his hideout and quickly shoots into the rocks when you walk by. The sixline may bother him a bit though... they can been terrors.

Had mine for over a year in a 120g. He was out all the time. Have not seen him in a week now. Not in the overflow, not on the floor. My favorite fish though.
