Helios heaters controllers/owners

My heater is on every few minutes and turns off. I have the helios heaters is that normal operation anyone knows?

I have my helios controller set 77F i never reach 77F i always reach 76.8 is ghat normal

Then it’s just reading your tanks temp as your heater is being triggered and turning on and off then. Pretty normal I would say.

One thing I noticed with my helio is that the helio temp sensor registers a different temp than my Neptune apex temp sensor.

76.8 on your Neptune apex ? That would be the scenario i mentioned where the two are not equal.

So your helio sensor is turning off when it reaches 77, but your Neptune only registers 76.8.

I guess you have a .2 variance between the two. Not too bad actually.

My basement is unheated i use 2x 500w helios. To keep tank at that temp. Helios turns on and off all night. Im worried the heater will break? But iv been running for 2 years no issues

The Helios are built like tanks. I was impressed with the quality out of the box.

Heck… i was impressed with the box it came in. It just oozed quality.

I have them. They don’t do that. If you have room on your Apex plug it in and can track the draw. I have it set up always on with a safety of off if temp higher than 79.

Hello, I am getting ready to buy a new heater. What is everyone's opinion as far as the best? I want to run two elements so they won't have to work as hard.

Mine are in a pretty cold room and cycle like this in the winter.

Pretty similar to mine. Rock solid so far. Room is at 65 during the winter.

Those are pretty consistent.

I am going to run two elements for sure. Would you guys suggest that I run two 500 watts or two 1000 watts? I reason that they would work less and last longer. Any ideas or suggestions welcome.
