I want to share my experience with Hellfire Frags so others can be aware before ordering.
On October 12, I received a coral shipment from them the coral arrived dead in the bag. I reached out immediately, and the owner told me to wait a few weeks for a replacement. I agreed and waited.
After waiting 2 months with no update, I followed up. At that point, I was told they no longer had the coral and could only offer store credit. When I tried to communicate further, I was blocked on Facebook the same platform we were using to handle the issue while they were still holding my money.
I had to reach out via email just to get the store credit. I waited another 4 months (until February) to finally use that credit and place a new order.
Then the order was delayed for another month.
When I followed up again (through email, since I was still blocked), I was told my order was canceled.
After months of back-and-forth, I told them I had enough and requested a refund. In March, they agreed to refund me.
Now it’s April over 6 months since the original order and I still have not received my refund. The vendor has stopped responding completely, even after multiple emails.
Timeline:
• Oct 12: Received DOA coral
• Dec: No update, offered store credit instead
• Feb: Finally able to use credit
• Mar: Order canceled, refund promised
• April: No refund, no response
What’s more concerning is that I’m not the only one this has happened to a friend of mine went through a very similar situation.
From my experience, once they have your money, it becomes extremely difficult to get proper support, replacements, or a refund. At this point, this is no longer just bad service this is unacceptable. I understand delays and mistakes can happen in this hobby, but communication and accountability should never disappear like this.
Just sharing my experience so others can make informed decisions.
