Hello! I joined R2R because I’m finally about to delve into my first saltwater/reef build. It is a 4 gallon pico. I do know that is a more complicated build for a newbie in the reef world, however, I have researched doing a nano/pico since 2006 and just have never bit the bullet because my husband was in the United States Coast Guard and I wanted to be in our permanent home before starting a reef tank. He has been out of the USCG for awhile and we finally have that permanent place and I’m starting with a 2nd hand old AIO IM Nuvo 4 I’ve had forever that has just been moved place to place with me. I’ll start a build thread soon, as I finally have upgraded lighting (Kessil A80 Tuna Blue) for it and have ordered my salt, have my RODI from my LFS and many other odds and ends. I will say I’ve kept freshwater fish my entire life, so I’m not green to aquariums, just greenish when it comes to reefing. Looking forward to growing as a hobbyist here.

Welcome!

Picos usually aren't a beginner's reef of choice, but I kept a 40 oz pico for years until I had to take it down due to a move. It was the easiest tank ever. As long as you stay on top of maintenance and utilize the community here when you have questions, I bet you can create a beautiful mini ocean! Can't wait to check out the build thread.

Good luck!

That is some patience! Congratulations on finally getting set up!
