Help! Chalk bass jumped and out of water for 9 hours.

As the title says… Is there any way I can get him back? He was very very dry when I found him as he landed on a sweatshirt. I took a syringe and opened his mouth and gills. I put at least 20ml water through both his mouth and gills. Now I’m holding him in front of a power head trying to get him back. Is it hopeless?
