Help Choosing Anenome

I'm new to R2R. I want to buy an anemone for my two clownfish. I have a 33-gallon Fluval tank with two Fluval lights - 750mm and 500mm. I have a nice flat rock (bottom center on tank photo under paramount looking rock) to place the anemone. Photos attached. It will need to be a mail order: I would appreciate any recommendations for the vendor, anemone type, and size. Thanks in advance.

How long as this tank been established? What type of filtration do you use?

But that doesn't mean it can't.
Doesn't seem to have enough light or flow. How long has it been running?

FWIW, there's no guarantee of the nem hosting your clowns.

In my opinion best bet would be a magnifica.

Magnifica are way too difficult for a beginner and have lots of certain requirements. I would look into bubble tips as your first anemone but research what it takes to keep them healthy and alive

I agree, a Magnifica isn't a beginner anemone.

18 months? Little to no coverage on the rocks. Mostly frags. Probably not an ideal setup for any anemone. Defiantly not a Magnifica.

About the only option would be a run of the mill bubble tip that you can get from most online vendors with a decent history. Search here, or on the web, plenty to choose from. Just go with a basic rose or green - nothing fancy since you are in the "try" bucket.

Protect power heads as they wonder.

Already noted above by someone, but they will move until they find a spot "they" prefer. You can't force it. Also as noted it may not allow the clowns to host and the clowns may not try.

BTW - not a fan of the try part. Don't try, do. If you are not ready for do, then don't. I do not mean to sound direct but really this hobby is about caring for animals.

While Heteractis magnifica is a GREAT Anemone for clowns, it is absolutely NOT the best bet for a first attempt!

They require very well-established tank conditions and intense light and flow. Carpet Anemone might be a better bet or as others mention, a bubble tip. Definitely do your research based on your setup and ability to care for whichever you choose. But agree that there is no guarantee that it will host your clowns and it will move to where it wants to be not where you necessarily want it

Be aware also that nems self propagate. I bought 1 forest fire around 6 months ago, now I have 3. All of which happily host my maroon clowns.
