Hi all,

I have been setting up my 30 gallon saltwater fish tank for about a month now. I am using Dr.Tims one and only fishless cycle method. I added 2ppm of ammonia and a full bottle of the One and Only bacteria. It has been 4 days, and I do not see the ammonia decreasing or any signs of nitrites.

Would it be safe to wait a few more days? or should I do a water change? I have added a lot of beneficial bacteria but it seems like the nitrogen cycle is not present.

Thank you for anyone who can help.

You're fine, just give it more time. It doesn't cycle quite as fast as the bottle claims, but it does work. The cycle can take about 3 weeks or so with the Dr Tim's products, just be patient a little longer :-)

Good luck!
