I had good luck dosing interceptor in the form of Dr. G's coral dip directly into my display. Had no deaths of anything and red and black bugs were gone in 24 hours.

Please let me know as Im actively dealing with these right now. I did a 4x dose of interceptor and I still dont see ****... Bugs still alive, perhaps moving slower.

I've heard about these being worst that AEFW... Never had them so would hope someone that has successfully dipped and eradicated them can chime in.

AEFW are a walk in the park compared to these. Atleast they die with treatments, these things are impervious to interceptor, bayer, revive, coral rx, etc..

Have never used Dr G but if it has the same content as interceptor I doubt it will work.

Interceptor and its main ingredient work on black bugs, the issue is the dosage. You have to use far more than is normal to actually get them to die.

I used 2 large breed pills. I'm going to do it again in 10 days with 3 pills and again 10 days after that with 2 pills.

Did you see any reduction numbers after the first dose? Any reason why 10 days and not shorter like 5 or 7 days? My observation is that they multiply pretty fast.

Yeah I mean I saw every single pod in my tank die. I saw black bugs on one of my corals completely stop moving.. I left it there for a day and came back, it was in the exact same place. Blew it off with a turkey baster. My thinking was they were dead at that point. I chose 10 days because to me the spread actually quite slow and I want to make sure the eggs hatch so I kill them. When there are a lot of them they spread and reproduce quickly.. But if you start from 1, it takes longer. After I cut my tank down and did the revive dip at high contrentration it literally took 2 months before I saw a sign of one again.. Making me believe they are moderate at reproducing with a slower life and reproduction cycle.. IF you think they bloomed quick you probably already had a bunch.. When they really bloom, its too late, your tank is going down in a week. Thats where I noticed them the first time, and also why I lost so many of my acros.. Someone had to come over and tell me something was very wrong, then someone else helped me ID black bugs. I tore down the tank that same day and thakfully saved my most valuable acros, but still lost probably $10k in collector acros.
