Hi all - could I please ask for some help id’ing these little buggers.

the sample was taken from strings around my rocks, zoas and from the substrate.

unfortunately by the time I got them to the microscope they were all dead (or at least not moving)

I’ve done the “through the paper towel test” and have been siphoning them out for 2 weeks now. They’re thinning out but still very present.

I’ve raised nitrates from 2-3ppm up to 15ppm and phosphate has been a real up and down over the last month, anywhere from 0.00 to 0.25, currently at 0.06 (checked with Hanna ULR)

These are ostreopsis. You should use UV to keep them in check as they migrate into water at night.

It would be very helpful to use activated carbon as well, to take care of the toxicity of these dinos.

Legends thank you. I thought they were as well based on the pdf guide but it’s my first time ID’ing Dino so wanted a seasoned eye.
