Can anyone help me ID this non florescent encrusting critter on my hammers frag plug? Is it a coral or some type of sponge? Algae? It's very brittle and I can see some pods feeding on the surface of it. Any help would be appreciated!

We'll need clearer photos for an ID
Hopefully this is better. I used my macro lens and had to manually focus the picture. Let me know if you need a different view.
I know it's not the hammer because it's encrusted on the skeleton a little.

Could be a form of calcareous/coraline algae as sponges wouldn't flake. Do you see any small polyps on it?

There are what looks like small polyps but they're spaced far apart. They look similar to my leptoseris but much farther apart. It's mostly striations though.

Edit - found it, it's definitely Lobophora variegata!
