I’ve had him for about two years, was quarantined and treated with just copper power back then for a month therapy.
He was a 5 dollar buy and was tiny when i got it.
I recently setup a smaller aio tank with new live sand and the live rock from my previous tank.
Acclimated the fish and made the transfer. After two days this appeared on it.
Thought it is a fungal infection and treated with flucanazole. It seems better but not gone as you can see. Only one does of the med was given.
Im just not sure if im treating it right or for the right thing.
Thanks for the help.

It does look like some fungal diseases (which are REALLY rare in marine fish BTW). I think you can rule out Brooklynella since it is localized and on a long term captive, not a new fish. One way to tell bacterial from fungal infections (just a generalization) fungal infections are additive: they seem to grow out from the fish, while bacterial infections are often erosive, they sort of eat the fish away.

I've never dosed fluconazole for this - but it ought to work. What is the safety margin for a second dose? I use formalin dips to control external fungus in marine fish, but it is tricky to use and difficult to get.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I had thought that my other bottles directions said to retreat aft 2 weeks although this bottle doesn’t say. I used this in the past to deal with gha i had in my other tank.I think i waited a week to add the 2nd dose.
It will be a week Thursday when i put in the first dose, so i will re treat Thursday.
